ZAKL022 is a Plains Zebra that can be found at Klapperkop Nature Reserve on the southern side of the Pretoria central area. The reserve is a hilly one with on main road running the length of it. The area offers great views of the surrounding areas. The views are particularly good from Fort Klapperkop which was constructed by the Boers in the Anglo-Boer war. It never saw any action during the war.

This zebra is a member of Charlie herd. It is not the easiest individual to identify as its stripe pattern does not have any distinctive pattern. Its black stripes are not particularly bold and it does have some pale shadow stripes.
