Zebra ZAKL019 at Klapperkop
ZAKL019 is the reference for a Plains Zebra at Klapperkop Nature Reserve on the southern edge of the Pretoria CBD. The reserve offers great views over the city, and it is popular amongst fitness enthusiasts. Although it is a small reserve it is a convenient place to visit to escape some of the pressures of city life.
This zebra is part of Charlie herd which seem to enjoy the rocky habitat along the crest of a hill. It has bold stripes and faint shadow stripes. We identify it using the stripe pattern along its back going back to its rump along with the markings on it neck.
