Zebra ZAKL009 at Klapperkop
Klapperkop Nature Reserve does not have many zebras so identifying them is quite easy. Nevertheless, let’s long at this zebra and see what markings make it unique.
Firstly, its shadow stripes are fairly faint. It has a lot of stripes on its legs. There are some interesting markings in the middle of its back which will definitely assist in identification.
There are also some useful markings on its shoulder including one set which kind of look like a coat hanger to me. The markings on its neck and head are fairly standard and would take careful examination when compared to another zebra photo.
