Zebra NAET00007 at Etosha
This is a well-marked zebra with well-defined shadow stripes. It has a number of markings that aid with identification.
Let’s start with the neck. There are a couple of splits and joins but there is also a very short, thin stripe by the mane half-way down its neck. On the shoulder there is a definite pattern which is useful.
There is nothing too unique along its back until you get on to its rump. Note the wavy stripe that stops just short of the base of the tail. There is a tiny marking just after that.
On the zebras hip there is a little marking coming from a stripe that makes it join with a shadow stripe.
